Hooks Bar & Grill is a popular entertainment venue in the heart of bustling Seaside Heights, NJ. Housing a bar, restaurant, and a performance stage, the establishment has been a local favorite for decades, with crowds visiting from all over New Jersey for a snack and a concert.

In 2022 Hooks gained a new management that wanted to revamp the space, making it more welcoming and in line with the post-pandemic era requirement for public spaces. They contacted Vetrina Windows for a solution that would have opened up the space to the outside to create a more natural “boardwalk” feel and to facilitate better ventilation and airflow for its inhabitants.

Vetrina Windows designed and manufactured an ADA-compliant 10-pane Bi-Fold system for the back patio, that allowed the restaurant’s staff to remove and put back the partition between the inside and the outside in seconds on-demand. Durable, secure, and weatherproof, – it offers an instant solution for extending the dining area onto the outdoor patio, while offering perfect protection from the elements during stormy and cold weather.

The addition of Vetrina’s Bi-Fold folding door system instantly made the space more comfortable to its patrons by creating an abundance of light and fresh air, as well as providing an inviting atmosphere to the passers by, who could now peek inside the establishment from the street. The new management instantly reported a meaningful increase in foot traffic and an uptick in interest from the surrounding communities. The aluminum and glass partition takes seconds to fold and unfold, and can be operated easily by anyone.

Moreover, despite the light and transparent feel of the design, it is as sturdy and secure as any other door or window. Vetrina Windows offers dual and triple pane glass in their Bi-Fold systems for excellent wind and moisture resistance, insulation and weatherstripping for best in class energy savings, as well anti-burglar multi-point locking mechanisms to prevent unauthorized entry.

After the resounding success of our Bi-Fold system between the interior of the restaurant and the back patio in the Summer of 2023, the Hooks management contacted us again for redesigning their front entrance. The traditional front entrance door is now gone, and a brand new 7-pane folding door system had just been installed in its place. Now the space is ready to welcome its customers with even more light, transparency, and fresh air, while offering an easier access to and from the venue from the veranda area right on the street.
