Triple-Pane

Vetrina offers a wide variety of glazing options to increase energy efficiency.
Every insulating glass package shares 4 basic components:

  1. Glass: Vetrina’s glass packages feature Low-E coating for improved efficiency. Unlike clear glass, Low-E glass is coated with a microscopic layer of silver that reflects radiant solar energy while permitting visible light to pass through the glass, providing more comfort and lower energy costs.

  2. Gas: Optional Argon gas is sealed between the glass panes. This odorless, non-toxic gas works like an insulating blanket between two panes of glass to further improve thermal efficiency and dampen outside noise levels.

  3. Low Conductance Spacers: Insulated glass units consist of multiple glass panes separated by low conductance spacers that minimize transfer of heat between the glass panels keeping the cold outside, and the warm – inside; or vice versa.

  4. The Panes:

Dual-Pane window consist of two pieces of glass (optional Low-E), Argon gas, and a low-conductance spacer.

Triple-Pane windows feature three panes of glass, creating a two-stage insulating barrier system.

Laminated: Impact-resistant laminated glass consists of a durable interlayer sealed between two layers of glass. This advanced glass package provides increased safety, sound control, UV protection and extra energy efficiency.

THE Warm Edge Spacer

Warm Edge Spacers are used in place of conventional aluminum spacers to improve the overall thermal efficiency of the insulating unit when used in a thermally broken framing system.

TINT

Tinted glass is produced by adding metal oxides during the manufacturing process, reducing glare from the bright outdoors and decreasing the amount of solar heat transmitted through the glass. The most commonly used tints are grey, bronze, green and blue, however you can choose almost any color you want.
