We are glad to announce that the first batch of custom high quality aluminum windows was delivered today to the job site straight from our factory in Bensalem, PA.

Envisioned in the best practices of modern urban engineering, the 1,400+ unit mixed use multifamily development at 1001 S. Broad Street in Philadelphia is taking shape. The project will consist of three buildings with 10 distinct wings ranging in height from 10 to 15 stories, with the first building scheduled to be completed in 2024.

As one of the largest construction projects in Philadelphia, the ensemble of commercial and residential structures will be taking up 1.8 million square feet, covering five acres of land when completed. One can only imagine the amount of building materials, finishes, fixtures, and other construction products required for the undertaking.

The project developers at Post Brothers have already completed several large scale projects in the area, and are well aware that sourcing finishes and materials for a job site of this magnitude requires a lot of attention and coordination between manufacturers, suppliers, and logistical providers. That is why Post Brothers approached Vetrina Windows to design and manufacture custom aluminum windows, doors, curtain walls, and other fenestration products for the project.

Below are some of the design and construction aspects that Vetrina Windows considered while designing fenestration products for One Thousand One:

Large, Floor-to-Ceiling Windows—The generously sized windows allow ample natural light into the interior spaces. This design enhances both aesthetics and energy efficiency by reducing the need for artificial lighting.

Dark Metal, Industrial-Style Grid Pattern—The windows are framed in dark metal with a divided grid pattern, giving the buildings a contemporary yet slightly industrial feel. This adds a sense of rhythm and structure to the façades.

Balcony Integration—Some windows are paired with private balconies, further enhancing the connection between indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Curtain Wall System on Lower Levels—The lower portion of the building features a sleek, glass curtain wall, likely serving a communal or retail function. It provides transparency and openness.

Vetrina Windows specializes in custom design and production of high-quality aluminum windows and doors for multifamily and mixed-use real estate developments. To inquire about supplying your project, please email us at info@vetrinawindows.com or use this form.
