Two-Panel Sliding Door for a Design Showroom

PROJECT SCOPE

Type: Interior Design Showroom
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Construction: 2024
Area of Focus: Interior Partitioning
Window Types: Sliding Doors

Our VT-4600 Lift & Slide system is usually used for large openings between the interior and the exterior. In this project, however, the same system was used to produce a two-panel sliding door that was installed as an interior partition in one of Philadelphia's interior design showrooms.

BEFORE

The VT-4600's unique roller system elevates the door panels above the rail track, enabling them to slide effortlessly and quickly. This makes it ideal for spaces that require partitioning in mere seconds. The VT-4600 system can employ two to six sashes on up to three rails. It also provides optional recessed tracks, drainage systems, and ultra-thin central sashes to complement any interior style. Besides that, the system allows for extra-large openings up to 11 feet tall and 65 feet wide.

AFTER

The black aluminum frame with grid detailing adds a sleek, industrial-chic look that enhances the studio’s contemporary style. Installing an interior partition in a commercial space provides versatility—it can be fully closed for privacy or opened to merge spaces for collaboration. This setup is ideal for meetings, presentations, or dividing workstations without creating a confined feel. Unlike standard sliding doors, the lift-and-slide system reduces friction, making operation effortless even with large panels. It ensures smooth, quiet movement—important in a professional setting.
