V-4600 Lift & Slide Doors Systems for a NJ Beach House

PROJECT SCOPE

Type: Beach House
Location: Jersey Shore, NJ
Construction: 2023
Area of Focus: Beach-side Patio
Window Types: Sliding Doors

For this NJ beach house, our engineers at Vetrina Windows designed and manufactured two 14.5 x 7-foot sliding doors utilizing our V-4600 aluminum Lift & Slide system. For a beachfront home in New Jersey, aluminum sliding doors offer the perfect balance of durability, weather resistance, and contemporary design.

This robust system provides a convenient way to access the outdoors and invite the fresh air and sunlight into your house, while keeping it secure and protected from the elements year round. Sliding doors are ideal for patios because they don’t require swing space, making them practical for tighter layouts while still allowing effortless indoor-outdoor transitions.

Designed to withstand hurricane-strength winds and stormy weather, the V-4600 is the ideal choice for shoreside properties, as well as commercial spaces everywhere. Unlike wood, which can warp or rot, aluminum requires minimal maintenance—there’s no need for frequent painting or sealing. A simple wipe-down with mild soap and water keeps it looking new.

Using an aluminum sliding door for the ocean-facing back patio of a beach house offers numerous benefits, particularly in terms of durability, performance, and aesthetics.

Aluminum frames, especially when coated with marine-grade finishes or anodization, resist saltwater corrosion much better than wood or standard steel. This resistance is essential for beachfront homes, where exposure to salt, moisture, and strong winds can quickly degrade alternative materials. Aluminum is strong yet lightweight, enabling larger glass panels without compromising structural integrity. This aspect is particularly vital in coastal regions where high winds and storms frequently occur.

Vetrina’s aluminum sliding doors feature thermally broken frames and low-E glass, which reduce heat transfer and enhance insulation against cold winters and humid summers. Our impact-resistant glass options also offer additional protection against extreme weather conditions.
